Tips that reach
the people who
earned them.

A customer points their camera at the code on the table and tips in seconds — no app, no account. Tipsom splits it by your rules and keeps a cent-exact record of where every tip went.

Why Tipsom exists

Cash tips disappear.

Into pockets. Into an unwatched jar. Into an argument at closing time. The customer meant that money for someone — and nobody can prove who.

Tipsom replaces the jar with a ledger. A tip enters as money and leaves as a record: who paid, how, who served, and exactly what every person is owed.

  • No app for customers to download
  • No hardware for restaurants to buy
  • No cent left unaccounted for

01 · The table

Ten seconds, any phone.

The camera reads the sticker, the page opens in the browser, the tip is on its way. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

  • Pays with the wallet already on their phone — EVC Plus, eDahab, Premier Wallet, card, or cash.
  • Picks their waiter by name, so the right person gets the credit.
  • Works on every phone with a camera — smartphones are the point of sale.

02 · The split

Every cent has an address.

You set the policy once. From then on, every tip is divided in exact integer cents — platform fee, manager cut, waiters, restaurant, shared staff — and frozen at the moment of payment.

  • The math must sum back to the tip exactly — if it ever wouldn't, Tipsom refuses to record it.
  • Historical records never change, even when you change the policy.
  • No floating-point money, no rounding leaks, no end-of-night arguments.

03 · The office

The whole floor on one screen.

Owners and managers see money the moment it lands — filtered by any date range, per waiter, per method — and export it when it's payday.

  • Notification the second a tip is paid.
  • Waiter earnings, payouts, and what's still owed.
  • CSV exports with the full split on every row.
  • Print A4 sticker sheets for the tables in one click.

Built for a cashless city

The wallets Mogadishu already uses.

Most of the city pays by phone. Tipsom is built around that — local mobile money first, with card and cash for everyone else.

Pricing

Simple, and only when
a tip is paid.

Tipsom earns a small fee on each paid tip — nothing else. If your restaurant doesn't make money, neither do we.

  • No setup fee, no monthly subscription, no hardware
  • One small percentage per tip — visible on every single record
  • Splits and payout math handled automatically

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Anything else — hello@tipsom.so

Do customers need to download an app?
No. They scan the code with their phone camera and the tipping page opens in the browser. No app, no account.
Which payment methods are supported?
Tipsom is built for EVC Plus, eDahab, and Premier Wallet mobile money, plus card and a manual cash option.
How are tips split between staff?
You set a policy — for example 70% waiter, 20% restaurant, 10% shared pool. The platform fee and the manager's cut are applied first, then every tip stores its exact split at the moment it's paid.
Can I see who earned what?
Yes. Each waiter has a number, and the dashboard totals their tips, earnings, and payouts — with CSV export for payday.
What does it cost?
A small percentage of each paid tip. No setup fee, no subscription, no hardware. The fee is visible on every record.
What do we need to get started?
Nothing but a printer for the sticker sheet. Create your venue, print the stickers, and you're taking tips the same day.
